Julio Cesar Martínez
Julio Cesar Martínez Aguilar (born 27 January 1995) is a Mexican professional boxer who has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) flyweight title from 2019 to 2024. Professional career Early career Martínez made his professional debut against Joaquin Cruz on 16 October 2015. He lost the fight by a split decision. He would go on to amass a 13-1 record over the course of his next 13 fights. Martínez was scheduled to fight Andrew Selby on 23 March 2019, in a WBC flyweight title eliminator to determine the next mandatory challenger. Martínez won the fight by a fifth-round knockout, handing Selby the first loss of his professional career. Selby had a great start to the fight, before a clash of heads in the third round cut him along his left eyebrow, for which Martínez was deducted a point. Jay Harris (born 25 August 1990) is a Welsh former professional boxer. He twice held the European flyweight title as well as being British and Commonwealth champion. Interim Title
An interim championship is an alternate title that is awarded by the sanctioning bodies of professional boxing, and in other combat sports such as kickboxing, professional wrestling, and mixed martial arts. Occasionally, the champion of a particular weight division is temporarily unable to defend their championship because of medical, legal, or other reasons beyond the competitor's control. When this case occurs, two highly ranked contenders may fight for an interim championship of the same weight division – leading to two champions existing in the same weight division simultaneously. Once the original champion can return, at the discretion of the sanctioning body or promotion concerned, they must defend their title against the interim champion - who will relinquish their interim title to fight for the full world title. Early life McWilliams was born along his twin brother, McJoe, in the municipality of Ceiba in the northeast coastal region of Puerto Rico's main island. Moruti Mthalane (born 6 October 1982) is a South African former professional boxer. He is a two-time IBF flyweight champion, having held the title between 2009 and 2021. He also held the IBO flyweight title from 2014 to 2017.
