Julija Portjanko
Julija Portjanko ( mk, Јулија Портјанко; born Yuliya Ihorivna Portyanko, uk, Юлія Ігорівна Портянко; 20 April 1983 – 12 October 2021), also known as Julija Nikolić ( mk, Јулија Николиќ; uk, Юлія Ігорівна Ніколич, Yuliya Ihorivna Nikolich), was a Macedonian handball player. She last played for the club ŽRK Vardar and for the Macedonia national team. She represented Macedonia at the 2008 European Women's Handball Championship, where Macedonia finished 7th, and Portjanko was among the top-ten goalscorers at the championship. Dnipro
Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. North Macedonia Women's National Handball Team
The North Macedonia women's national handball team is the women's national handball team of North Macedonia. It is governed by the Macedonian Handball Federation and takes part in international team handball competitions. History First Women's Handball teams in Macedonia emerged in the second half of the 1940s. Soon Macedonian Handball federation started to organize national championships in big handball -11 players on a soccer field size. 2012 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2012 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Serbia from 4 to 16 December. Originally the tournament was scheduled to be held in the Netherlands but on 4 June 2012 the Dutch Handball Federation withdrew from the organization. Subsequently, the European Handball Federation (EHF) launched a new bidding process and eventually selected Serbia as the new host on 18 June 2012. Montenegro captured their first title by defeating defending champion Norway 34–31 in the final. Team Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. ŽRK Vardar ( mk, ЖРК Вардар) is a Macedonian women's handball club from Skopje, North Macedonia. The team currently competes in the Macedonian women's First League of Handball, Women’s Regional Handball League and used to be a top competitor in the Women's EHF Champions League. History *The Beginning WHC Vardar was founded in 1961, as part of the Vardar Sports Club in Skopje, which had been founded in 1947. WHC Grafichar Skopje club was established in 1948, and it was the top quality team at the time. They won many titles including the last one in 1960 before the fusion. Zvezda Zvenigorod (russian: Звезда Звенигород, lit. ''Star Zvenigorod'') is a Russian women's handball club from Zvenigorod, near Moscow.
