Julien Vermote
Julien Vermote (born 26 July 1989) is a Belgian professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . His brother is Alphonse Vermote, who rode for the squad. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Tour de France. Juniors Born in Kortrijk, Flanders, Belgium, Vermote started racing at a young age and joined the KSV Deerlijk team in 2002 and stayed on that team for the rest of his junior career. He was the national champion in the novice category in 2004. Going through the years, Vermote had results on all levels and his time trialling skills started to develop with multiple wins in the discipline. In his final year in the junior ranks, he won 10 races including Ledegem-Kemmel-Ledegem and a 2nd place in the junior's Ronde van Vlaanderen. 2016 Tour Of Britain
The 2016 Tour of Britain was a nine-stage men's professional road cycling race. It was the thirteenth running of the modern version of the Tour of Britain and the 76th British tour in total. The race started on 4 September in Glasgow and finished on 11 September in London. It is the version of the Tour of Flanders for under-23 riders and is usually contested a week after the Ronde van Vlaanderen. An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' " stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). ITTs are also referred to as "the race of truth", as winning depends only on each rider's strength and endurance, and not on help provided by teammates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream.
