Julien Forêt
Julien Forêt (born 21 August 1982) is a French professional golfer. Early life Forêt was born in the French colony of New Caledonia. He began playing golf at age twelve. Professional career Forêt turned professional in 2006 at the age of 23. He began playing on the Challenge Tour, the European Tour's developmental tour, and won the Golf Open International de Toulouse. Forêt's successful start to his professional career continued when he came through 2006 European Tour Qualifying School to earn a place on the European Tour for 2007. However he then suffered a slump in form. In 2007 Forêt made only two cuts on the European Tour. He returned to the Challenge Tour for 2008 but only made four cuts. Since then he has played mainly on the third-tier Alps Tour. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958 Eisenhower Trophy, 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. From 2002 the teams have been three players with two counting. The 2004, 2010 and 2012 championships were reduced to 54 holes because of bad weather.
