Julien ''"Cousi"'' Cousineau (born January 17, 1981) is a Canadian alpine skier. He is competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Cousineau began his career in 1998. He was named Alpine Canada's 2003 Breakthrough Male Athlete of the Year. Alpine skiing, or downhill skiing, is the pastime of sliding down snow-covered slopes on skis with fixed-heel bindings, unlike other types of skiing ( cross-country, Telemark, or ski jumping), which use skis with free-heel bindings. Lachute () is a town in southwest Quebec, Canada, northwest of Montreal, on the Rivière du Nord, a tributary of the Ottawa River, and west of Mirabel International Airport.
