Julien-K
Julien-K is an American electronic rock band based in Long Beach, California, that began as a side project for electronic music created by Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck from Orgy, alongside Anthony 'Fu' Valcic. The band's name comes from the movie ''American Gigolo'', where Richard Gere's character was named Julian Kaye. History After the release of Orgy's third album, '' Punk Statik Paranoia'', internal conflicts within the band caused Shuck and Derakh to find themselves writing songs that lead vocalist Jay Gordon had no interest in working on. The pair opted to continue writing and recording material, with Shuck stepping in on vocals, before deciding to launch their own side project with the addition of drummer Elias 'Bones' Rodriguez and keyboardist Brandon Belsky. Ryan Shuck
Ryan Shuck is an American musician and co-founder of industrial rock band Orgy and electronic rock band Julien-K. He was the guitarist and backing vocalist of Dead by Sunrise, the alternative rock side project of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. He was also the lead singer of the rock band Adema from 2019 to 2024. Initially in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Shuck played in the Bakersfield-based rock band Sexart alongside future Korn lead singer Jonathan Davis and future Adema bassist Dave DeRoo. Shuck owns four restaurants in Orange County, California and a recording studio in Long Beach, California. Early life From Shuck's earliest years, he had been an artist. Death To Analog
''Death to Analog'' is the first album by the American rock band Julien-K, which had a limited release on March 10, 2009, with a vinyl release on April 7, the digital release and worldwide release on October 20, and the European/Digi-Pak release date on March 5, 2010. Despite a number of delays, the album was confirmed to be released on February 17, 2009, to coincide with the "Death of Analog" television. However, the album's release date was delayed to March 10. Amir Derakh
Amir Davidson, professionally known as Amir Derakh, is an American musician and record producer. He is currently the guitarist and the synthesizer player for the band Julien-K, and was the guitarist for the band Dead by Sunrise. He was the g-synth player in the rock band Orgy, and has also played guitar in the bands Rough Cutt and Jailhouse. Career After graduating in 1981 from Mission Bay High School in San Diego, California, Derakh played lead guitar for local bands Armed & Ready and Emerald. He moved to Los Angeles to replace Craig Goldy in Rough Cutt. He made a guest appearance on Crazy Town's album, '' The Gift of Game''. ''We're Here with You'' is the second studio album by the American electronic rock band Julien-K, which was released on January 23, 2012. The album was written by members Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh, and produced by Julien-K. A deluxe edition is available for digital download on iTunes. Orgy (band)
Orgy is an American industrial rock band formed in 1997, from Los Angeles, California. They have described their music as "death pop". The band is best known for their cover version of the New Order song " Blue Monday", and their original song " Stitches", both from their 1998 album '' Candyass''. In 2000, they released their second album, ''Vapor Transmission'', with "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)" and "Opticon" as singles. Brandon Belsky
Dead by Sunrise (formerly known as Snow White Tan) was an American rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles, California in 2005 by vocalist Chester Bennington who was best known as the lead vocalist of Linkin Park. The band also consisted of Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, Brandon Belsky, Elias Andra, and Anthony "Fu" Valcic from Julien-K and Orgy.
