Julian Medical Building, also known as Owl Drug Store Building, is a historic two-story building at 6384 W. Hollywood Boulevard, on the corner of Hollywood and Cahuenga Boulevard, in Hollywood, California. History Julian Medical Building was financed by the Beveridge family and designed by Morgan, Walls & Clements, the architectural firm responsible for many Los Angeles landmarks, including the Dominguez–Wilshire Building, Adamson House, Chapman Plaza, and the El Capitan, Music Box, Wiltern, Mayan, and Belasco theaters. This building, which features a combination of Art Deco and Streamline Moderne styles, was built in 1934. Belasco Theater (Los Angeles)
The Belasco Theater is a historic theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Opened in 1926, it operated as a playhouse and briefly as a movie theater until its closure in 1950, after which it was used for non-theater purposes. The building was renovated and reopened as a music venue called The Belasco in 2011. Live Nation became its operator in 2020. Oil tycoon Edward L. The Owl Drug Company was an American drugstore retailer with its headquarters in San Francisco that operated the Owl Drug Stores chain. It was a subsidiary of Rexall stores at its peak in the 1920s through 1940s. The Owl Drug Stores sold medicines and pills, and later ventured into cosmetics, perfumes, and other goods.
