Julian Kornhauser
Julian Kornhauser (born 20 September 1946 in Gliwice, Poland) is a Polish poet and literary critic. He was born to a Jews, Jewish father and a Catholic Church, Catholic mother, as a son of Jakub and Małgorzata Kornhauser. He is an author of poems, novels and literary sketches. He also published translations of Serbian literature, Serbian and Croatian literature, Croatian poetry. At present, he works as a professor at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Through his daughter Agata Kornhauser-Duda, his son-in-law is Andrzej Duda, President of Poland for the Law and Justice party. Gliwice
Gliwice (; german: Gleiwitz) is a city in Upper Silesia, in southern Poland. The city is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Kłodnica river (a tributary of the Oder). It lies approximately 25 km west from Katowice, the regional capital of the Silesian Voivodeship. Gliwice is the westernmost city of the Upper Silesian metropolis, a conurbation of 2.0 million people, and is the third-largest city of this area, with 175,102 permanent residents as of 2021.
