Julian Christopher Hill (born 1973) is an Australian politician. He is a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2016, representing the Victorian seat of Bruce. He has been an assistant minister in the Albanese government since 2024. Prior to his election to parliament, Hill served on the Port Phillip City Council from 1999 to 2005, including as the city's youngest mayor from 2000 to 2002. He subsequently worked as a public servant. Hill was elected to parliament at the 2016 federal election, succeeding Alan Griffin. Early life and education Hill was born in Melbourne in 1973. He was raised by his mother after his father, a medical doctor, died when he was four years old. He has described how his mother, a nurse and midwife by profession, instilled in him the values of "responsibility, hard work and compassion". Julian Marquez Hill (born July 9, 2000) is an American professional football tight end for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Campbell Fighting Camels and was signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in . Early life Hill was born on July 9, 2000. He attended Pine Forest High School and was a multi-sport athlete, playing football, baseball and basketball. He played quarterback in football and was thrust into a starting role three games into his freshman year, completing 52% of his passes while throwing for 927 yards and six touchdowns. His sophomore season ended prematurely when he suffered a torn ACL. Julien Harrison Hill (September 15, 1877 – December 1, 1943) was an American college football coach and banker. He was the tenth head football coach at Richmond College—now known as the University of Richmond—serving for one season, in 1899, and compiling a record of 2–2. He later was a banker who served as president of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the State-Planters Bank and Trust Company. Early life Julien Harrison Hill was born on September 15, 1877, in Richmond, Virginia, to Frances Cadwallader (née Harrison) and William M. Hill. His father was a bank president.
