Julia Henriksson
Julia Henriksson (born 11 July 2000) is a Swedish athlete who competes as a sprinter. She has won Swedish national champion titles at 60m, 100m and 200m and is the Swedish indoors national record holder over 200 metres and joint record holder outdoors over 200 metres. Early life From Bjuv, Henriksson was a promising junior athlete but stopped athletics completely in high school, and didn't race at all in 2016 and 2017. She started training again after her hiatus and started training full-time in 2019. She again had to pause her training to recover from stress fractures to her foot, in 2020. Career Competing in Mölndal in August 2021, Henriksson ran 100m in 11.37s which moved her up to fifth all-time by Swedish women and made her the fastest Swedish woman since 2014. Track and field (or athletics in British English) is a sport that includes Competition#Sports, athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name used in North America is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. 2023 World Athletics Championships
The 2023 World Athletics Championships (), the nineteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships, were held from 19 to 27 August 2023 at the National Athletics Centre (Budapest), National Athletics Centre, in Budapest, Hungary. The tournament returned to its usual two-year cycle after the previous event in Eugene, Oregon, United States was postponed to 2022, held a little 13 months earlier due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These are the first World Athletics Championships in Hungary. 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships
The 20th World Athletics Indoor Championships were held from 21 to 23 March 2025 in Nanjing, People's Republic of China, at the newly built Nanjing's Cube gymnasium in the Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park. 60 Metres
60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At indoor events, the 60 metres is run on lanes set out in the middle of the 'field', as is the hurdles event over the same distance, thus avoiding some of the effects of the banked track encircling the venue, upon which other track events in indoor events are run. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'on your marks', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles. 2024 Diamond League
The 2024 Diamond League was the fifteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition was a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events was 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast.
