Julia Großner
Julia Großner (born May 4, 1988 in Weimar, Germany) is a professional beach volleyball player. Career Julia Großner started playing volleyball in the hall in Erfurt in 1997 and has been playing in the sand since 2003. With Jenny Heinemann, she won the German Championship of the C- and B-Youth in 2004. In 2006, she played with Katharina Schillerwein and in 2007 with Liane Lehmann on national tournaments. Together with Frederike Fischer she started nationally and internationally from 2008 to 2010. In 2009, Julia Grossner became the U23 European champion in the Russian Jantarny alongside Britta Büthe. From 2011 to 2016 Grossner played with Victoria Bieneck. In the first tournament of the year 2013, the duo Bieneck / Großner took fourth place at the CEV Satellite tournament in Antalya (Turkey). Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two to four players each on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. Each team also works together to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court. Teams are allowed up to three touches to return the ball across the net, and individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively except after a touch off an attempted block. Kira Katharina Walkenhorst (born 18 November 1990) is a German retired beach volleyball player who played as a Beach volleyball#Player specializations, blocker. She has an older brother Alexander Walkenhorst who is a professional beach volleyball player and a younger sister Pia Walkenhorst who also plays beach volleyball. Laura Ludwig-Bowes (born 13 January 1986) is a German professional beach volleyball player, playing as a defender. Previously forming a pair with compatriot Kira Walkenhorst, she represents Hamburger SV and has won four European championships. She won the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
