Julia Brown was an American indie pop band from Baltimore, Maryland. History Julia Brown began in early 2013 after the break up of the band Teen Suicide, with the release of their debut studio album ''to be close to you'' via Birdtapes. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Lo-fi (also typeset as lofi or low-fi; short for low fidelity) is a music or production quality in which elements usually regarded as imperfections in the context of a recording or performance are present, sometimes as a deliberate choice. The standards of sound quality (fidelity) and music production have evolved throughout the decades, meaning that some older examples of lo-fi may not have been originally recognized as such. Teen Suicide (band)
Teen Suicide is an American indie rock band from Baltimore, Maryland. History Teen Suicide formed initially as a solo project of Sam Ray in 2009 and released a 2011 compilation, ''Bad Vibes Forever'', which consisted of "early early demos". Soon after this, Eric Livingston joined the band, making a duo with Ray on vocals, guitar, synthesizers, drum machines, and bass, and Livingston on drums and vocals, occasionally accompanied by various unofficial members such as Alec Simke and Caroline White. In February of the following year, they released an EP titled ''DC Snuff Film''. They followed up that EP with a three-song EP titled ''Goblin Problems'' in June 2012. A full-length album entitled ''Waste Yrself'' was also being produced around the same time, but it was left uncompleted. Samuel Joseph Ray (born April 25, 1991), also known by the name of his solo electronic project Ricky Eat Acid, is an American musician from Baltimore, Maryland, most well known for his involvement in his band Teen Suicide. History Sam Ray began the Ricky Eat Acid project on February 22, 2010 with the song "Angry Clouds", which appeared on his debut album ''Sometimes You Make People Sad'', released on May 21, 2010. It was followed up by the release of Ray's first EP, ''HUGS'' on July 16, 2012, as well as his second album ''You Get Sick; You Regret Things'' on September 8, 2010. In between releasing EPs for a new project "Dead Virgin", Ray released the EPs ''Dance With U'' and ''Sometimes We're Blue'' in October and November of 2010 respectively. Modern Baseball (MoBo) was an American emo band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania consisting of Bren Lukens, Jake Ewald, Sean Huber, and Ian Farmer. The band formed in 2012 at Drexel University and released their first album, ''Sports'', on Lame-O Records that same year. Their following albums, ''You're Gonna Miss It All'' and ''Holy Ghost'', were released on Run For Cover Records in 2014 and 2016 respectively. The group announced an indefinite hiatus in 2017. Old Gray
Old Gray was an American emo band from Hooksett and Auburn, New Hampshire. History Old Gray began in 2011. The band was formed by Cameron Boucher, Charlie Singer, Zane McDaniel, and Raphael Bastek. In 2013, Boucher would form punk band Sorority Noise in which would later feature Singer. Due to the prominent rise in popularity of Sorority Noise, Old Gray would often have to take long periods of inactivity aside for some one-off shows. Since then, they have released two full-length albums, three EPs, six splits, and two singles. Their debut album, ''An Autobiography'', was released in 2013. Their second full-length album, ''Slow Burn'' was released on December 9, 2016 via Boucher's Flower Girl Records.
