Juho August Hollo
Juho August Hollo (17 January 1885, in Laihia – 22 January 1967, in Helsinki), also known as J. A. Hollo, was a Finnish scholar and professor of education at the University of Helsinki from 1930 to 1954. He was one of the most prolific translators into Finnish, translating a range of genres and from several languages. He himself said in 1953 that he had translated 170 books; some sources list over 300. Among the authors he translated were Miguel de Cervantes, Anatole France, Gustave Flaubert, Stendhal, Voltaire, Charles Dickens, Jonathan Swift, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Leo Tolstoy, Knut Hamsun and Friedrich Nietzsche. Juho Kuosmanen
Juho Kuosmanen (born September 30, 1979) is a Finnish film director and screenwriter. He graduated from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in 2014. Kuosmanen's graduation film called The Painting Sellers was nominated for five Finnish film Academy Awards. (set design, screenplay, best actress, best director, best film). The Painting Sellers won the first prize in Cinéfondation in Cannes Film Festival in 2010. Kuosmanen acted in Leea Klemola's arctic trilogy, performing in "Kokkola" and "New Karleby", both staged at Tampere Theatre in Tampere, Finland. Kuosmanen has also directed opera with conductors Sakari Oramo and Santtu-Matias Rouvali. Korpiklaani (Finnish language, Finnish for ) is a Finnish folk metal band from Lahti that was formerly known as Shamaani Duo and Shaman. History Shamaani Duo While other folk metal bands began with metal before adding folk music, Korpiklaani started with folk music before turning metal. Juho Kauppinen
Juho Kauppinen (born 4 August 1986) is the former accordionist of the Finnish band Korpiklaani. He has also been in Falchion, which was a Finnish Death metal band, in which he was the vocalist and lead guitarist. Falchion Falchion was founded in 2002 by Juho Kauppinen and Joonas Simonen at the ages of 15 and 16 years old, they were influenced by Amorphis and Ensiferum. After some time Juho Kauppinen felt the need to change the line-up since the members lived far from each other. Sadly, after more line-up changes, the band split-up in December 2009.
