''Juggy D'' is the debut studio album by British Indian singer Juggy D. It was released on 12 October 2004 on 2Point9 Records. Produced by Mentor and Rishi Rich. The album is the first Punjabi language album ever to enter the UK official charts, peaking at number 70. The first single, ''Sohniye'' was released before, it received positive reviews from critics and was featured in the 2004 Bollywood film '' Shukriya: Till Death Do Us Apart''. Juggy D
Jagwinder Singh Dhaliwal ( Punjabi: ਜਗਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ, born 19 November 1981), is an English singer of Indian descent from Southall, London. Music Juggy D has been performing since the age of 14. He made his breakthrough alongside Jay Sean. Juggy D has also appeared on numerous crossover singles with musicians such as Madonna, Ricky Martin, Mary J. Blige and Craig David. Juggy D has collaborated with Veronica Mehta and Rishi Rich in the Bollywood film '' Hum Tum''. He, Mehta, and Jay Sean also have guest appearances in the Hindi film '' Kyaa Kool Hai Hum''. They sing the Jay Sean song "One Night," featuring added vocals from Veronica. He also is one of the first people to experiment with Bhangraton. Bhangra (music)
Bhangra () is a type of non-traditional music of Punjab originating from the Punjab region. Over the years, bhangra has evolved and gained popularity not only in South Asia but also around the world. It has become a significant part of the cultural identity of the Punjabi diaspora in countries like Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Prior to this musical fusion, bhangra existed only as a Bhangra (dance), dance form in the native Punjab. This Punjabi music was unique in that it was not traditional nor did it seek any authenticity. While the traditional folk music of Punjab has a set of melodies that are used by various singers, bhangra was a form of strict "band culture" in that new melodies were composed for each song. Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip-hop (also known as alternative rap and experimental hip-hop) is a subgenre of hip-hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising "hip-hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. Instead, they blur genres drawing equally from funk and pop/rock, as well as jazz, soul, reggae, and even folk." Alternative hip-hop developed in the late 1980s and experienced a degree of mainstream recognition during the early to mid-1990s. Rishi Rich
Rishpal Singh Rekhi ( Punjabi: ਰਿਸ਼ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੈਖੀ, born 30 June 1976), better known by his stage name Rishi Rich, is a British-Indian music producer based in London. He began his career in the Asian Underground scene and later became internationally known for his bhangra tracks, his Hindi remixes, and as a pioneer of Asian-R&B fusion music. Through the Rishi Rich Project, he was responsible for launching British Asian talents who would later gain mainstream success, such as Jay Sean, Juggy D, Veronica Mehta, and Mumzy Stranger. In addition, Rishi Rich has launched the singing career of Canadian artist, Jasmine K Kara, as the two collaborated in 2022 to release "The Ishq (Rishi Rich Remix)." ''Shukriya: Till Death Do Us Apart'' (transl. ''Thank you'') is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language romance film directed by Anupam Sinha, starring Anupam Kher, Aftab Shivdasani, Shriya Saran and Indraneil Sengupta. Kamaljit Singh Jhooti (born 26 March 1981), known professionally as Jay Sean, is a British singer and songwriter. He debuted in the UK's Asian Underground scene as a member of the Rishi Rich Project with " Dance with You", which reached No. 12 on the UK Singles Chart in 2003. This led to him being signed to Virgin Records and having two UK top 10 hits as a solo artist in 2004: " Eyes on You" at No. 6 and " Stolen" at No. 4. 2004 Debut Albums
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern. The Arabs' 4 still had the early concept of the cross, but for the sake of efficiency, was made in one stroke by connecting the "western" end to the "northern" end; the "eastern" end was finished off with a curve.
