Judd Hambrick
Judd Hambrick (born September 25, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an American former television newscaster and reporter. Hambrick grew up in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Biography Career, accomplishments, and awards Hambrick started his career in radio in 1961 while still a sophomore in high school. After graduation from Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, Texas in 1963, Hambrick attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained his degree in journalism in 1967. He then got his start in television at KTBC-TV in Austin. Later on, by 1972 Hambrick had moved on to WCAU-TV in Philadelphia and served as co-anchor of their evening news programs with John Facenda, better known outside of Philadelphia as the "voice" of NFL Films. Hambrick's stay at WCAU lasted only one year. He later moved onto stops at KDFW-TV in Dallas, KABC-TV in Los Angeles and KTVU in the San Francisco Bay Area. John Facenda
John Thomas Ralph Augustine James Facenda ( ; August 8, 1913September 26, 1984) was an American broadcaster and sports announcer. He was a fixture on Philadelphia radio and television for decades, and achieved national fame as a narrator for NFL Films and '' Football Follies''. Through his work with NFL Films, Facenda was known by many National Football League fans as "The Voice of God". Biography Early years Facenda had six brothers and six sisters. His father was an immigrant from Italy who went from Portsmouth, Virginia, to help with building the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia while his wife and children remained in Virginia. Facenda attended Roman Catholic High School in Center City, Philadelphia and then later Villanova University but dropped out. KTUL (channel 8) is a television station in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States, affiliated with ABC and owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group. The station's studios are located at Lookout Mountain (near South 29th West Avenue, west of Interstate 244) in southwestern Tulsa, and its primary transmitter is located on South 321st Avenue East, adjacent to the Muskogee Turnpike, in unincorporated southeastern Tulsa County (near Coweta). Nielsen Media Research (NMR) is an American firm that measures media audiences, including television, radio, theatre, films (via the AMC Theatres MAP program), and newspapers. Headquartered in New York City, it is best known for the Nielsen ratings, an audience measurement system of television viewership that for years has been the deciding factor in canceling or renewing television shows by television networks.
