Juan Barbas
Juan Alberto Barbas (born 23 August 1959 in San Martín, Buenos Aires) is a retired Argentine footballer who played as an attacking or defensive midfielder. He played for a number of clubs in Argentina, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland before turning his hand to management in 2009 with Racing Club de Avellaneda. Club career Barbas started his career in 1977 at Racing Club de Avellaneda in the Argentine Primera División. He then went on to play for Real Zaragoza in Spain, U.S. Lecce in Italy, FC Locarno, and FC Sion in Switzerland. Barbas was a part of the Sion team that won the 1991–1992 Swiss Championship. After another spell at Locarno, Barbas returned to Argentina where he had a short spell with Club Atlético Huracán before dropping down to the lower leagues to play for Alvarado de Mar del Plata and then All Boys, where he retired in 1997. 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship
The 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship, the second staging of the FIFA World Youth Championship, was held in Japan from 26 August to 7 September 1979. It was the first FIFA tournament played in Asia. The tournament took place in four cities — Kobe, Omiya, Tokyo and Yokohama — where a total of 32 matches were played, four more than in the previous edition due to the addition of a quarterfinal round in the knockout stage. Argentina won the trophy after beating holders Soviet Union 3–1, in a final held at Tokyo's National Stadium. Argentina fielded an attack-minded high-scoring team, averaging 3.33 goals per game. They were led by the powerful duo of Diego Maradona and Ramón Díaz, who were the tournament's best player and top scorer respectively. Ricardo Daniel Caruso Lombardi (born 10 February 1962 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football manager, currently in charge of Deportivo Español, and former Association football, footballer. He is best known for saving teams from being relegated to second division. Playing career Lombardi started his playing career with Argentinos Juniors in 1981. His career was then mostly in the lower leagues of Football in Argentina, Argentine football apart from 1984 when he played a single season for Club Atlético Atlanta in the Primera División Argentina, Primera Division. In 1986, he was part of the Sportivo Italiano, Deportivo Italiano team that won the Primera B Nacional, Primera B championship. 1982 FIFA World Cup
The 1982 FIFA World Cup was the 12th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams, and was played in Spain between 13 June and 11 July 1982. The tournament was won by Italy, who defeated West Germany 3–1 in the final, held in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in the capital, Madrid. FIFA World Youth Championship
The FIFA U-20 World Cup is the biennial football world championship tournament for FIFA members’ men's national teams with players under the age of 20. The competition has been staged every two years since the inaugural tournament in 1977 when it was hosted by Tunisia, under the tournament name of FIFA World Youth Championship until 2005.
