Joëlle Van Noppen
Joëlle van Noppen (20 January 1980 – 12 May 2010) was a Dutch singer. Career Joëlle was born in Middelburg. She was a member of the Dutch girl group WOW! from 1997 to 2000. Until her death, she was still active to a small extent as a cabaret singer in the band Copycat and performed salsa dancing. Wow (band)
WOW! was a Dutch girl group in the late 1990s and early 2000s who were produced by the duo Bolland & Bolland. History WOW! scored their first hit in 1997 called ''Keer op Keer'', which came from their album ''Wild + Ondeugend''. The group scored another hit with ''Zomer'. ''The music video for ''The Night Before You Came'' was recorded in the Big Brother house. The band consisted of Denise Koopal, Jenske Moermond, Joëlle van Noppen, Mandy Gruijters and Naomi Louwerens. After each other, Van Noppen and Koopal left the group in 1999 and 2000 respectively. The band restarted in May 2001 under the new name Blaze. However, this was unsuccessful. WOW! appeared for the last time in its original line-up once in the radio program Coen and Sander Show. Salsa is the name for Latin American dances that are danced to salsa music. Salsa is one of the most popular types of Latin dance that is practiced worldwide, and is typically danced with a partner, although there are elements of solo footwork as well. There are several distinct styles of salsa that are danced around the world. Afriqiyah Airways Flight 771 was a scheduled international Afriqiyah Airways passenger flight from Johannesburg, South Africa to Tripoli, Libya. On 12 May 2010 at about 06:01 UTC+2, local time (04:01 coordinated universal time, UTC) while on approach to Tripoli International Airport, the aircraft operating the flight, an Airbus A330-200, crashed about short of the runway. Of the 104 passengers and crew on board, 103 were killed. The List of sole survivors of airline accidents or incidents, sole survivor was a 9-year-old Dutch boy. The crash of Flight 771 was the deadliest aviation disaster in Libya since the crash of Libyan Arab Airlines Flight 1103 in 1992.
