Joyo (tribe)
The Johiyas are a social group native to the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent. They have been classified as Rajputs. History Alexander Cunningham derived the term "Johiya" from "Yaudheya", and theorized that the modern Johiyas were representatives of the ancient Yaudheyas. A.B.L. Awasthi, however, connected modern Rajputs to Yaudheyas instead; historian R. C. Majumdar finds Awasthi's identification more probable. Yet another theory connects the Admera sub-group of the Johiyas to the ancient Audumbaras. During 700-1200 CE, the Johiyas were among the dominant communities of north-eastern and north-western Rajasthan, along with various sub-groups of Rajputs. By the 15th century, they had accepted Islam, and claimed Rajput descent. They were among the politically influential groups in the Bikaner district, Bikaner area. During Rania, Sirsa#History, 18th and 19th century, the Muslim Johiya chieftains - who were vassals of Bikaner State, had ongoing tussle for the con ...

Joyo Bank
is a Japanese regional bank that is headquartered in Mito city, Ibaraki Prefecture. The bank is relatively large among Japanese regional lenders, and operates branches throughout the Kantō region. In addition to branches in Miyagi, Fukushima, Chiba, Saitama, Tokyo, and Osaka prefectures, the bank also operates a representative office in Shanghai. While the bank has many stakeholders, prominent shareholders include the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, along with several major Japanese insurance companies Although Ibaraki Prefecture ranks only 24th in size among Japan's 47 prefectures, it ranks 4th in terms of usable area. It is therefore one of the leading producers of agricultural products and has a largely rural population.
