Joy Ngiaw
Joy Ngiaw (born November 23, 1994) is a Malaysian film and television composer. Her score for Apple TV+ and Skydance's debut animation '' Blush'' has won Best Music Award from Hollywood Music in Media and was nominated for an Annie. Joy's second Annie nomination followed for her score on Skydance Animation's science fantasy adventure series '' WondLa'', where she collaborated with industry icons such as John Lasseter. She also scored Skydance Animation's inaugural studio logo. Among her other projects include Netflix and CBS's TV show '' Glamorous'', Walt Disney Animation Studio's ''Short Circuit: Jing Hua'', and Netflix's '' Rescued by Ruby''. Joy was named a BAFTA Breakthrough USA honoree in 2024. Early life and education Joy was born in Pahang, Malaysia and raised in Shanghai, China. ''Short Circuit'' is a series of American independent animated short films produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Similar to the '' SparkShorts'' program launched at sister animation studio Pixar, the series is a program in which the employees pitch their ideas for a short and work with fellow employees to create the short if selected, and is meant to take risks in both visual styles and storytelling. The shorts were released exclusively on Disney+ on January 24, 2020. A second cycle of animated shorts premiered on August 4, 2021. The fourth season of ''Cobra Kai'', also known as ''Cobra Kai IV'', released on Netflix on December 31, 2021, and consisted of 10 episodes. The series is a direct sequel to the original four films in ''The Karate Kid'' franchise, focusing on the characters of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence over 30 years after the original film. It is the second season to be released in 2021 and second to initially release on Netflix after the first two seasons released on YouTube. Boston Pops Orchestra
The Boston Pops is an American orchestra based in Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in light classical and popular music. The orchestra's current music director is Keith Lockhart. Founded in 1885 as an offshoot of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO), the Boston Pops primarily consists of musicians from the BSO, although generally not all of the first-chair players.
