José Vildoza
José Ignacio Vildoza (born 15 January 1996) is an Argentine professional basketball player for Club Atlético Boca Juniors (basketball), Boca Juniors in the Liga Nacional de Básquet and the Basketball Champions League Americas. He is a 1.91 m tall point guard. Career Vildoza came to Club Deportivo Libertad, Libertad at the age of 15 from Club Maipú in his home city of Córdoba, Argentina, Córdoba. He debuted at the age of 16 in the Liga Nacional de Básquet under the guidance of coach Fernando Duró. He was with Libertad for six years, his highlight being that he was chosen as the sixth best player in the 2016–17 Liga Nacional de Básquet season after averaging 16.2 points, 3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 27.9 minutes. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. The 2016–17 Liga Nacional de Básquet season was the 33rd season of the top professional basketball league in Argentina. The regular season started on 22 September 2016. San Lorenzo won their second title in a row, defeating Regatas Corrientes in the finals. The 2017–18 Liga Nacional de Básquet season is the 34th season of the top professional basketball league in Argentina. The season started on 20 September 2017 with the Torneo Súper 20, which finished on 18 November 2017. The regular season began on 29 November 2017 and finished on 6 May 2018. Starting this season, the competition format underwent significant changes. Instead of two conferences (North and South), all 20 teams are placed in a single group and play a double round-robin, where the best 16 teams at the end of the season qualify for the championship playoffs, while the two teams with the worst record play in a best-of-five relegation series.
