José María Rojas Garrido (June 7, 1824 – July 18, 1883) was a Colombian Senator, and statesmen, who as the first Presidential Designate became Acting President of the United States of Colombia (now the Republic of Colombia) in 1866 during the absence of President elect Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera. He was a prominent journalist for several Liberal Party newspapers, and is considered one of the most important orators in Colombia's history. Better known as ''Chinimba'', he played most of his career for Deportivo Saprissa, where he is still remembered as an idol. José Manuel Rojas Bahamondes (born 23 June 1983), known as José Rojas, is a Chilean former professional footballer who played as a defender. Primarily a central defender, he could also be deployed as a left-back. Club career Rojas has played the whole of his career for Universidad de Chile except a brief stint with Argentine side Independiente in 2006. He has won four league championships with Universidad de Chile, in Apertura 2004, Apertura 2009 and Apertura and Clausura 2011. José Manuel Rojas Olmedo (born 10 April 1987) is a Spanish footballer who plays for UD San Sebastián de los Reyes mainly as a central defender. Club career Born in Seville, Andalusia, Rojas was a youth product at Atlético Madrid, making his senior debuts with the reserves in 2006 and going on to appear with several Tercera División and Segunda División B clubs during his early years. Jose Rojas (born April 27, 1990) is a professional racquetball player. Rojas's highest ranking is #3 on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT), which he was at the end of the 2011–12 season. At the end of the 2014–15 season, Rojas was #6, which was his sixth time in the IRT top 10 at season's end.
