José Núñez (politician)
José Núñez (1800 – 5 March 1880) was a conservative Nicaraguan doctor and politician who served as the 11th, 13th, and 15th Supreme Chief of Nicaragua, and 1st Supreme Director of Independent Nicaragua. Núñez and Joaquín del Cossío were the most important figures in the Independence of Nicaragua, as they began the first and second transitional governments that lead to Nicaragua's independence. Early life Born around the year 1800 in the Solentiname archipelago located in Lake Nicaragua where he spent his early years. Fray Ramón Rojas sent him to study in the city of León. Later, he travelled to Chile where he graduated with a degree in Medicine and Surgery in the city of Santiago. Back in Nicaragua, he practiced his profession in León, and later taught Medicine at the University in that city. José María Núñez Urrezola (born 22 January 1952) is a Spanish former professional football manager and former player who played as a left-back. He amassed La Liga totals of 197 games and two goals over the course of 11 seasons, ten with Athletic Bilbao. Career Born in Tolosa, Gipuzkoa, Núñez was a youth product of Athletic Bilbao, and made his senior debut with the reserve team in 1971. He was promoted to the main squad two years later, but only appeared in five La Liga matches in his first three seasons, his debut in the competition coming on 7 September 1974 in a 2–0 away loss against Málaga. After two years with Sporting de Gijón on loan, the first spent in Segunda División, Núñez returned to his previous club in the summer of 1978, going on to be regularly played during his eight-year tenure in his second spell. Jose Nuñez is an American electronic and house music producer. He is best known for his works with producers Erick Morillo and Harry Choo Choo Romero on the Subliminal record label. Biography In 1998, he appeared in the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart twice, first hitting #1 with "In My Life." It peaked at #56 in the UK Singles Chart in September that year. The follow-up "Hold On" peaked at #9 US Dance later that year, and at #44 in the UK chart. Lead vocals on both tracks were by singer Octahvia, sometimes referred to as Octavia or Octah'via, and the songs were officially credited to "Jose Nuñez featuring Octahvia". Jose then started collaborating with Erick Morillo and Harry Romero. The 3 remixed and made many songs under monikers such as Da Mob, The Dronez and Ministers-De-La-Funk. José Ariel Núñez Portelli (born 12 September 1988) is a Paraguayan international footballer who plays as a forward for Guaireña. Club career Born in Asunción, Núñez spent his early career in his native Paraguay, playing for Libertad, Presidente Hayes and Tacuary. In July 2013 he went on loan to Spanish club Osasuna. On 31 January 2014 he signed a four-year contract with Danish side Brøndby. He made his debut for the club on 24 February 2014, appearing as a substitute for the final seven minutes of the game.
