European Dressage Championships
The European Dressage Championships are the European championships for the equestrian discipline of dressage. They are held every two years in odd-numbered years. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded in both individual and team competitions. There are also championships held for juniors, young riders, and ponies. Since 2015, the competition has shared a site and branding with vaulting, reining, jumping, and driving events. For sponsorship reasons, eventing is not included, as it is part of the FEI European Championships, echoing the combined World Equestrian Games concept. 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games
The 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games were held in Aachen, Germany from 20 August to 3 September 2006. They were the 5th edition of the FEI World Equestrian Games, games which are held every four years and run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports, FEI. It was held in the Soers, a district of Aachen. The main stadium of this event was the Hauptstadion. Host selection On 18 September 2002 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, the International Federation for Equestrian Sports, FEI awarded the 2006 Games to Aachen. The only other host city applicant was Lexington, Kentucky, United States (which was later awarded 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, the following edition of the Games in 2010).
