José Capmany
José Capmany (15 July 1961 – 13 October 2001) was a Costa Rican songwriter and guitarist. Along with Enrique Ramírez, he was a founder of the band Café con Leche, a rock band in Costa Rica in the late 1980s. His latest release ''Canciones Cotidianas'' included a compilation of his work. Songs like "El Barco", "La Historia Salvaje" (which contains a sample of Gloria from Them but with more hard rock and in the lyrics the complete lyric from the popular children's song "Los Pollitos" combined with the chorus). Enrique Ramírez
Enrique Ramírez is a Chilean artist born in 1979 in Santiago de Chile. Photographer, filmmaker, sculptor and musician, his work is well known for his films and installations around the sea, a perpetually moving memory space, a space of narrative projections where the destiny of Chile is linked to travels, conquests and migratory flows. Biography Enrique Ramírez studied music and cinema in Chile before going at the Studio National des Arts Contemporains-Le Fresnoy (Tourcoing, France) in 2007. Café Con Leche
is a coffee beverage common throughout Spain and Latin America consisting of strong coffee (usually espresso) mixed with scalded milk in approximately equal amounts. The amount of milk can be higher in a ''café con leche en vaso'' or a ''café con leche de desayuno''. Cuban and Puerto Rican establishments often prepare the drink with sugar. Gloria (Them Song)
"Gloria" is a rock song written by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, and originally recorded by Morrison's band Them in 1964. It was released as the B-side of "Baby, Please Don't Go". The song became a garage rock staple and a part of many rock bands' repertoires. Composition and recording According to Morrison, he wrote "Gloria" while performing with the Monarchs in Germany in the summer of 1963, at just about the time he turned 18 years old. He started to perform it at the Maritime Hotel when he returned to Belfast and joined up with the Gamblers to form the band Them. He would ad-lib lyrics as he performed, sometimes stretching the song to 15 or 20 minutes. Them (band)
Them were a Northern Irish rock band formed in Belfast, in April 1964, most prominently known for their 1964 garage rock standard "Gloria (Them song), Gloria" and launching Van Morrison's musical career. The original five-member band consisted of Morrison, Alan Henderson, Ronnie Milling, Billy Harrison, and Eric Wrixon. Them scored two UK hits in 1965 with "Baby, Please Don't Go" (UK No. 10) and "Here Comes the Night" (UK No. 2; Ireland No. 2). The latter song and "Mystic Eyes" were top 40 hits in the US. Morrison quit the band in 1966 and went on to a successful career as a solo artist.
