José Cantero
José María Cantero (born 8 June 1959) is an Argentine professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour, the European Tour and the Tour de las Americas. Cantero turned professional in 1985. He played on the European Challenge Tour in 1990–1994 and he won three tournaments, all three of them taking place in Sweden, on this tour. In 1990, he finished 8th in the Challenge Tour Rankings. In 1991, he placed 14th at the Lancia Martini Italian Open on the European Tour. In 1994, he played three tournaments on United States second tier Nike Tour, later named the Korn Ferry Tour. His best finish was tied 12th at the 1994 NIKE Central Georgia Open. Since the late 1990s, Cantero only played a few tournaments a year and only in South America. Since 2005, he has not been playing on any main golf tour. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Players who are successful on the Challenge Tour qualify for membership of the European Tour the following year. Twenty players earn direct promotion to the European Tour. The 1991 Challenge Tour was the third season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season. The Nigerian Open was a golf tournament in Nigeria, played between 1969 and 1999. It was generally played at the Ikoyi Club in Ikoyi, Lagos. From 1997 to 1999 it was played at the IBB International Golf & Country Club in Abuja. It was an fixture on the Safari Circuit until 1993, and also a Challenge Tour event between 1990 and 1993. The Parana Open, or the Mesopotamia Open, was a golf tournament on the TPG Tour, the official professional golf tour in Argentina. Frédéric Regard (golfer)
Frédéric Regard is a professor of English Literature at Paris-Sorbonne University, where he teaches 19th-, 20th- and 21st-century literature and literary theory. He is a specialist in gender studies in France. Biography Regard was born in 1959 in Algeria in a family that had settled in Kabylie in the 19th century. He was schooled in Metropolitan France from the age of ten and entered the École normale supérieure de lettres et sciences humaines in 1978, where he majored in English literature. He passed the Agrégation in 1981 and then pursued a state doctorate under Hélène Cixous's supervision. His doctorate focused on the work of novelist William Golding, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature a year later. Olle Nordberg (born 2 May 1967) is a Swedish professional golfer who played on the Asian Tour and European Tour. Amateur career Nordberg was introduced to golf at an early age by his father, Björn Nordberg, an elite golfer who captained the winning Swedish European Boys' Team Championship teams in 1983 and 1991, and later served as European Golf Association President, Swedish Golf Federation President, and European Tour Board Non-Executive Director. The Zambia Open is a men's professional golf tournament played in Zambia, that has been part of the Sunshine Tour since 1996, and was co-sanctioned by the European-based Challenge Tour from 2001 to 2004. It was also an event on the Challenge Tour between 1991 and 1993, having previously part of the now defunct Safari Circuit. History Lusaka Golf Club has traditionally hosted the Zambia Open, but in 2005 a disagreement with the then sponsors, Stanbic, resulted in the cancellation of the tournament, with a new venue being found for the following year. The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship).
