Jostein Flo
Jostein Flo (born 3 October 1964) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a forward. Usually a centre-forward or striker, he was known for his physical playing style and aerial dominance, and was also capable of playing on the right flank. He was most recently Director of Football in Strømsgodset. Career At club level, Flo usually played as a centre-forward. For the Norwegian national team, he also acted as a target man, but instead played right winger, and was instrumental for the tactics applied by former Norway coach Egil Olsen. Playing a characteristic 4–5–1 formation, the left back would often hit long crosses to Flo, who in turn would head the ball to either one of the central midfielders or to the striker. Flo, Norway
Flo is a small village in the municipality of Stryn in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the northern shore of the lake Oppstrynsvatn, about east of the municipal center of Stryn. Directly south across the lake is the Jostedalsbreen nasjonalparksenter, a visitor's center for the nearby Jostedalsbreen National Park. Flo has become famous as the ancestral home of national and international footballers, all of whom are related: The brothers Kjell Rune Flo, Jostein Flo, Tore André Flo and Jarle Flo, all of whom grew up in nearby Stryn, as well as their cousin Håvard Flo who grew up in Flo. In addition Kjell Rune's son Ulrik Flo and Håvard's nephew Per Egil Flo have played for Sogndal Fotball in the Tippeligaen. Per Egil now plays for Slavia Prague. High Jump
The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. In its modern, most-practiced format, a bar is placed between two standards with a crash mat for landing. Since ancient times, competitors have introduced increasingly effective techniques to arrive at the current form, and the current universally preferred method is the Fosbury Flop, in which athletes run towards the bar and leap head first with their back to the bar. Ulrik Flo (born 6 October 1988) is a former Norwegian footballer forward who plays for Fjøra. He is the nephew of Jostein Flo and Tore Andre Flo. Håvard Flo
Håvard Flo (born 4 April 1970) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He played for Stryn TIL and Sogndal Fotball, before he left Norway in 1994 and played for AGF, SV Werder Bremen, and Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. He returned to Sogndal in 2001. He made a comeback for Sogndal in 2010. Career Flo was born in Flo, Stryn. His most successful spell was in AGF, where he won the Danish Cup in 1996. The same year AGF finished second in the League – behind eventual champions Brøndby. AGF also won a bronze medal in the "Flo-era". Flo is still remembered in Aarhus as one of the best AGF players ever. In 2008, when Flo first announced his retirement, he returned to Aarhus for a final tribute in the half time break. Tore André Flo (born 15 June 1973) is a Norwegian former professional football striker and coach who is the manager of 1. divisjon club Sogndal. He was capped 76 times, scoring 23 goals for Norway, and represented his country in 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000, and scored Norway's first goal when Norway won 2–1 against Brazil and advanced to the second round of the 1998 World Cup. During his professional career, he played for Sogndal, Tromsø and Brann in Tippeligaen, before he moved abroad and played for Chelsea. After a successful spell with the English club, he was sold to Rangers for £12 million and became the most expensive Norwegian player.
