Josephine Farrer (born 24 September 1947) is an Australian politician who was a Labor Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 2013 to 2021, representing the seat of Kimberley. Farrer was born on Moola Bulla Station, but her family were forcibly relocated to the nearby town of Halls Creek when she was a child. Kimberley is an Electoral districts of Western Australia, electoral district of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, located in the state's far north and named after the Kimberley (Western Australia), Kimberley region. In Australian politics, the two-party-preferred vote (TPP or 2PP), is the result of an opinion poll or a projection of an election result where preferences are distributed to one of the two major parties, the Labor Party and the Liberal/National Coalition e.g. "Coalition 50%, Labor 50%. The preference distribution is usually based upon the results of the last election, and the votes for other candidates are distributed between to the two parties. As such the TPP is a rough indicator of voting intent that focuses on determining the likely majority in the lower house.
