Josiah Yazdani (born November 29, 1991) is a former gridiron football placekicker. He was a member of the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League (AFL). College career Yazdani committed to Ohio University and played four years for the Ohio Bobcats football team. He graduated in 2015 ranked second all-time in field goals made at Ohio, with 47. Placekicker
Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Prior to the 1934 standardization of the prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster. The 2017 Arena Football League season was the 30th season in the history of the Arena Football League (AFL). Prior to the start of the season, the league contracted to five teams. Due to this, for the first time since 1991, the league was not divided into conferences or divisions. Albany is a village in Athens County, Ohio, United States. The population was 828 at the 2010 census. Geography Albany is located at (39.228787, -82.200363). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , of which is land and is water. History Albany was laid out in about 1832. It was incorporated as a village in 1842.
