Joshua Roy
Joshua Roy (born August 6, 2003) is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger for the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). A highly touted prospect upon entering the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Saint John Sea Dogs, early struggles led to a decline in his reputation, and he was ultimately selected by the Canadiens in the fifth round (150th overall) in the 2021 NHL entry draft. Following a trade to the Sherbrooke Phoenix, Roy would see a substantial increase in his production, winning the Jean Béliveau Trophy as the league's top scorer for the 2021–22 season. The COVID-19 pandemic in New Brunswick is an ongoing viral pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a novel infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The province of New Brunswick has the eight-most cases (out of ten provinces and three territories) of COVID-19 in Canada, having confirmed their first case on March 11, 2020. In New Brunswick's first case, the person had returned to southeastern New Brunswick from France, and self-isolated at home. The second case was a close contact. CHSJ-FM is a Canadian radio station broadcasting at 94.1 FM in Saint John, New Brunswick. The station plays a country format under the ''Country 94'' branding. CHSJ is owned by Acadia Broadcasting, which also owns sister station CHWV-FM. History Originally known as CFBO, CHSJ's first broadcast was at 890 AM in March 1928, under the ownership of C.A. The NHL Central Scouting Services (CSS) is a department within the National Hockey League (NHL) that ranks prospects for the NHL entry draft at specific times during the hockey season. Players are ranked based on how well they will translate to the professional game in the NHL. It was founded by hockey executive Jack Button in 1975, to establish a centralized database of NHL prospects. Button served as the director until 1979. Its current director is Dan Marr. 2020–21 QMJHL Season
The 2020–21 QMJHL season was the 52nd season of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The regular season began on October 2, 2020, and ended on April 18, 2021. The playoffs began on April 23 and ended on June 5 with the Victoriaville Tigres winning the President's Cup as the QMJHL champion. Traditionally, the champion would have earned a berth in the 2021 Memorial Cup, which was to be hosted by the Ontario Hockey League from June 17 to 27, 2021, however, the Memorial Cup was cancelled for the second season in a row due to the restrictions during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The 2019–20 QMJHL season was the 51st season of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The regular season began on September 19, 2019, and was scheduled to end on March 21, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, the regular season was suspended on March 12, 2020 and cancelled five days later. The post-season was scheduled to begin following the regular season, in which sixteen teams would compete for the President's Cup and be crowned champions of the QMJHL. Jonathan Huberdeau
Jonathan Huberdeau (born June 4, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey Winger (ice hockey), winger and Captain (ice hockey)#Alternate captains, alternate captain for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). Huberdeau was selected third overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2011 NHL entry draft and made his NHL debut with the team in 2013. After playing with the Panthers for ten seasons and setting the franchise record for points scored in a single season, Huberdeau was included in a blockbuster trade with the Flames which sent Matthew Tkachuk to Florida.
