Joshua Brown (born 19 February 1990) is a British actor from Leeds. He is best known for playing Alex Pickering in the long-running BBC school drama ''Grange Hill'' and for the main role of Matt in the '' Being Human'' spin-off, '' Becoming Human''. Joshua Clell Brown (born April 29, 1979) is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Brown was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL draft. He also played for the St. Louis Rams, Cincinnati Bengals and New York Giants. Joshua Brown (born 26 December 1993) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. Joshua Brown (born January 21, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was also the original lead vocalist of Full Devil Jacket and was a featured vocalist on Fireflight's hit song "You Decide" from their album ''The Healing of Harms''. On the night of September 6, 2018, 26-year-old accountant Botham Jean was murdered in Dallas, Texas, by off-duty Dallas Police Department patrol officer Amber Guyger, who entered Jean's apartment and fatally shot him. Guyger, who said that she had entered Jean's apartment believing it was her own and believed Jean to be a burglar, was initially charged with manslaughter. The absence of a murder charge led to protests and accusations of racial bias because Jean—an unarmed black man—was killed in his own home by a white off-duty officer who had apparently disregarded police protocols.
