Long Live (The Chariot Album)
''Long Live'' is the fourth studio album by The Chariot, released on November 23, 2010. Writing and recording Prior to recording ''Long Live'', Matt Goldman, the producer of all of The Chariot's albums to date, contacted the group in early 2010 and showed his interest in recording their next album live to analog magnetic tape. The act of recording an album live, as opposed to recording each instrument individually and digitally mixing it together later, has been used by The Chariot to achieve a more raw sound. This process was used entirely on their debut album, '' Everything Is Alive, Everything Is Breathing, Nothing Is Dead, and Nothing Is Bleeding'' in 2004. At least one song off of ''Long Live'' was recorded in this manner. Release and promotion Shortly after the release of their previous album, Wars and Rumors of Wars, the band held a contest for its promotion through their Myspace blog. Readers were instructed to obtain one of each of the band members' signatures throu ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

A Chorus Of Obliteration
The Showdown is an American Christian metal band from Elizabethton, Tennessee. While the members of the band are Christian and the band is signed to a Christian record label, the band does not consider itself a Christian act, according to guitarist Josh Childers, while in an interview with Vocalist David Bunton, when asked about a Christian Metal band, answered without correcting the interviewer. Lyrically, their writing tells of heroism, sojourns and battles of life, most of which is influenced by Biblical aspects. As of 2008, they are signed to Solid State Records. The band supposedly formed in 2004 as "The Showdown" but was originally called "2540" from 1999 to 2004. History ''A Chorus of Obliteration'' Prior to becoming The Showdown, the group was known as 2540, and played in a punk rock style. Love Is Ain’t Dead
Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection, to the simplest pleasure. An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse, which differs from the love for food. Most commonly, love refers to a feeling of a strong attraction and emotional attachment.''Oxford Illustrated American Dictionary'' (1998) Love is considered to be both positive and negative, with its virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection, as "the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another" and its vice representing human moral flaw, akin to vanity, selfishness, amour-propre, and egotism, as potentially leading people into a type of mania, obsessiveness or codependency. It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one's self, or animals.Fromm, Erich; ''The Art of Loving'', Har ... Christians
Christians () are people who follow or adhere to Christianity, a monotheistic Abrahamic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. The words ''Christ'' and ''Christian'' derive from the Koine Greek title ''Christós'' (Χριστός), a translation of the Biblical Hebrew term '' mashiach'' (מָשִׁיחַ) (usually rendered as ''messiah'' in English). While there are diverse interpretations of Christianity which sometimes conflict, they are united in believing that Jesus has a unique significance. The term ''Christian'' used as an adjective is descriptive of anything associated with Christianity or Christian churches, or in a proverbial sense "all that is noble, and good, and Christ-like." It does not have a meaning of 'of Christ' or 'related or pertaining to Christ'. According to a 2011 Pew Research Center survey, there were 2.2 billion Christians around the world in 2010, up from about 600 million in 1910. Today, about 37% of all Christians live in the A ... Two Parts Viper
''Two Parts Viper'' is the second full-length studio album by '68. The album was released on June 2, 2017. Background and composition Vocalist and songwriter Josh Scogin said that the album "is a journey meant to be heard as a full statement from Track 1 to Track 10," and that the work is to be taken as a "package—the art, the music, the journey it took to get finished, the songs I deleted, the ones I kept, the struggles and the victories... It all had to happen just the way it did or this album would not exist the way it does." On the album's title, Scogin said "I was in Australia last year and had a dream where a man in a nice suit and tie came up to me. I would fail if I wasn't two parts viper. The dream was terrifyingly parallel with my mental state and conflict at the time. Even the phrase he used in the dream, 'Two Parts Viper,' shared two different meanings as the dream progressed... it struck me as interesting, and so I used it for the title." Reception ''Two Pa ...
