Josh Romanski
Joshua Michael Romanski (born October 18, 1986) is an American minor league baseball outfielder who is a free agent. He is a former left-handed pitcher. Prior to beginning his professional career, Romanski attended the University of San Diego. Amateur career Romanski was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 15th round of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft. Though Romanski and the Padres negotiated towards the signing deadline, the two parties could not reach an agreement, and Romanski enrolled at the University of San Diego. Playing for the San Diego Toreros baseball team in the West Coast Conference (WCC), Romanski established himself as a two-way threat, as a pitcher and outfielder. San Diego Toreros Baseball
The San Diego Toreros baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of the University of San Diego, located in San Diego, California, United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference since prior to the 1985 season. Since 2013, its home venue has been Fowler Park, located on the University of San Diego campus. Rich Hill was the program's head coach from 1999 until 2021. As of the end of the 2012 season, the team has appeared in seven NCAA Tournaments, all since 2002. Brian Matusz
Brian Robert Matusz ( ; born February 11, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles and the Chicago Cubs. College Matusz attended the University of San Diego, where he played on the school's baseball team as a starting pitcher. Matusz, Josh Romanski, and Matt Couch anchored the Toreros rotation. Matusz was named to the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year honors and finalist for the Roger Clemens Award. Professional career Baltimore Orioles Drafted fourth overall by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2008 MLB draft, Matusz signed a contract with the Orioles on August 15, 2008, the deadline to sign draft picks. South Atlantic League
The South Atlantic League, often informally called the Sally League, is a Minor League Baseball league with teams predominantly in states along the Atlantic coast of the United States from New York to Georgia. A Class A league for most of its history, the league was promoted to High-A as part of Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The league temporarily operated for the 2021 season as the High-A East before reassuming its original moniker in 2022. A number of different leagues known as the South Atlantic League (SAL) have existed since 1904. The Charleston RiverDogs are a Minor League Baseball team of the Carolina League. They are located in Charleston, South Carolina, and are the Single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. The elbow is the region between the arm and the forearm that surrounds the elbow joint. The Pioneer League is an independent baseball league that operates in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States. Its teams are not directly affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB). It is designated as an MLB Partner League. From 1939 to 2020, the Pioneer League was affiliated with Minor League Baseball and its teams were affiliated with MLB teams. The Helena Brewers were a Minor League Baseball team in the Pioneer League located in Helena, Montana, from 1978 to 2018.
