After a personal struggle with her sexuality, the battle to stand as an authority figure in Larkhall, and the breakup from her fiancé Sean, she goes on holiday to clear her head. After a delay in her flight, Helen is replaced by Jim Fenner. She returns shortly after but leaves. She returns to work with prisoners serving life sentences, is sexually assaulted by Jim, and struggles with coming to terms with her sexuality. She falls in love with prisoner Nikki Wade. When Simon is demoted after Shell Dockley, Denny Blood, and Shaz Wylie escape, Helen becomes the new acting governor of Larkhall. Sylvia Hollamby
Sylvia Violet Hollamby (previously Nicholson; often referred to as BodyBag by the prisoners) is one of the longest-running characters in the award-winning prison drama series '' Bad Girls''. Portrayed by Helen Fraser from the first episode in 1999 until the last in 2006, Hollamby was the longest-serving prison officer on the show with convicts Julie Johnston and Julie Saunders (Kika Mirylees and Victoria Alcock) being the only other characters to remain for all eight series. Yvonne Atkins is a fictional character from the British prison drama series '' Bad Girls'', portrayed by Linda Henry. The character Yvonne first appeared in the finale episode of Series 1.
