Josh Head
Josh Head (born 7 April 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was selected with the 6th selection in the 2007 AFL Pre-season Draft from the South Fremantle Football Club in the WAFL. He had previously been selected by Fremantle onto their rookie list in 2002 and 2003, but was delisted without playing an AFL game. Head spent most of the 2002 and 2003 seasons suffering from a groin and shoulder injuries and only played three league WAFL games in each of those two seasons. He recovered in 2006 to play 14 games before cementing his position as a long kicking rebounding defender with South Fremantle in 2007 playing 22 games and finishing second in the club's best and fairest award. In a surprising move, Fremantle then selected him with their only selection in the 2007 pre-season draft. South Fremantle Football Club
South Fremantle Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Fremantle, Western Australia. The club plays in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL) and the WAFL Women's (WAFLW), commonly going by the nickname the ''Bulldogs''. Fremantle Football Club
The Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Dockers, is a professional Australian rules football club competing in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's elite competition. Subiaco Oval (; nicknamed Subi) was a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia, located in the suburb of Subiaco. It was opened in 1908 and closed in 2017 after the completion of the new Perth Stadium in Burswood. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season. In the Australian Football League (AFL), the Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player who, provided he has not been suspended during the season, receives the most votes from the umpires for being the Fairest and Best player in games during the home and away season. In each game, the umpires award three votes to the player they judge to be the best afield in that game, two votes to the second-best player and one vote to the third-best player. Luke McPharlin
Luke McPharlin (born 1 December 1981) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) for the Fremantle Football Club between 2002 and 2015, after two seasons with the Hawthorn Football Club. Throughout his AFL career, McPharlin predominantly played as a key defender. AFL career McPharlin was recruited from East Fremantle in Western Australia to the Hawthorn Football Club after being taken at Pick 10 in the 1999 AFL Draft. He made his debut in 2000, kicking a goal with his first kick, but played just 12 total games in his first two seasons at Hawthorn.
