Josh Archibald-Seiffer
Josh Archibald-Seiffer (born December 15, 1987) is an American pianist and composer. On the Grammy award-winning album Monsters, Inc. Scream Factory Favorites he co-wrote (with Woody Paul) the song "A Perfect Roar". Life Archibald-Seiffer received his Bachelor's Degree in music from Stanford University, graduating with Music Department Honors and with “University Distinction” - the highest recognition Stanford offers. He was also the recipient of the Carolyn Applebaum Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to the Department of Music, and Stanford’s Robert Golden Medal for achievement in the creative and performing arts. Currently, Archibald-Seiffer is a conductor and company pianist for the Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, WA. Joshua Archibald (born October 6, 1992) is a Canadian-born American professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Archibald was selected by the Penguins in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Early life Archibald was born on October 6, 1992, in Regina, Saskatchewan. His father Jim Archibald was a notorious Enforcer for the North Dakota Fighting Sioux men's ice hockey team in college, setting the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) record for penalty minutes before joining the Minnesota North Stars of the National Hockey League. His mother Anne also attended the University of North Dakota, where she was part of the school's swim team. Paul Woodrow Chrisman (born August 23, 1949), better known by his stage name Woody Paul, is an American singer, fiddler, and composer, best known for his work with the Western swing musical and comedy group Riders in the Sky. With the Riders, he is billed as "Woody Paul — King of the Cowboy Fiddlers". Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) is a ballet company based in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. It is said to have the highest per capita attendance in the United States, with 11,000 subscribers in 2004. Joël-François Durand (born 17 September 1954) is a French composer. Biography Born in Orléans, Durand studied mathematics, music education and piano in Paris, then composition with Brian Ferneyhough in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany (1981–84), and at Stony Brook University, New York, with Arel and Semegen (1984–86) . Between 1979 and 1984 he attended masterclasses by György Ligeti and Luciano Berio at the Centre Acanthes in Aix-en-Provence, and with Luigi Nono at the Freiburg Musikhochschule.
