Joseph Jacob Cohen (1878–1953) was a Anarchism, anarchist who cofounded and led the Stelton Colony, Stelton and Mohegan Colony, Mohegan intentional communities and edited the Yiddish anarchist periodical ''Fraye Arbeter Shtime''. Biography Cohen was born Joseph Jacob Kantorowitz on Russian Empire territory that is modern Belarus and was quickly pushed into Rabbinic Judaism, rabbinical studies when he was young. In 1903 he immigrated to the United States. He settled in Philadelphia, where he became involved with the Jewish anarchism, Jewish Anarchist movement. The Russian Empire was an empire that spanned most of northern Eurasia from its establishment in November 1721 until the proclamation of the Russian Republic in September 1917.
