Joseph Hodkinson
Joseph Hodkinson (3 May 1889 – 18 June 1954) was an English international footballer who played as an outside left. Career Born in Lancaster, Hodkinson played professionally for Glossop and Blackburn Rovers, and earned three caps for England between 1913 and 1919. Lancaster (, ) is a city and the county town of Lancashire, England, standing on the River Lune. Its population of 52,234 compares with one of 138,375 in the wider City of Lancaster local government district. Glossop is a market town in the Borough of High Peak, Derbyshire, England. It is located east of Manchester, north-west of Sheffield and north of the county town, Matlock. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them.
