Joseph Garcia (Gibraltarian Politician)
Dr Joseph John Andrew Garcia is a Gibraltarian historian and politician, and the current leader of the Liberal Party of Gibraltar (LPG) and Deputy Chief Minister of the Government of Gibraltar. The LPG holds two of the 17 seats in the Gibraltar Parliament after the 2023 general election and is in government with its political allies, the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party (GSLP). Education Garcia graduated from the University of Hull in England with a first class honours degree in history and obtained a doctorate on "''The Political and Constitutional Development of Gibraltar''". Political career Garcia has been leader of the LPG since 1992 and was first elected to the then Gibraltar House of Assembly on a by-election. Joseph A. Garcia (born March 21, 1957) is an American lawyer and politician. He served as the 48th Lieutenant Governor of Colorado from January 2011 to May 2016. He is currently the chancellor of the Colorado Community College System. Early life, education and career Joseph A. Garcia was born on March 21, 1957, in Lafayette, Indiana. He attended Austin E. Lathrop High School in Fairbanks, Alaska from 1973 to 1974 and graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1975. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1979 where he received a Bachelor of Science in business. Garcia then graduated from Harvard Law School in 1983.
