Joseph Drumheller
Joseph Drumheller (September 25, 1900 – April 18, 1970) was an American chemical engineer and politician in the state of Washington (state), Washington. He was a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Washington State Senate between 1935 and 1942, representing the Washington's 7th legislative district, 7th district. He was also a member of the Board of Regents for the University of Washington between 1945 and 1950 and then from 1956 to 1968. Early life Drumheller was born on September 25, 1900, in Spokane, Washington. He came from a pioneering family; his father, Daniel M. Drumheller, held various positions during his travels from Missouri to California in 1854 and his mother was Eleanor Drumheller (). His maternal grandfather, Leonard J. Powell, was the president of the University of Washington between 1882 and 1887. Washington's 7th Legislative District
Washington's 7th legislative district is one of 49 electoral district, districts in Washington (state), Washington for representation in the Washington State Legislature, state legislature. The district is in the extreme northeast of the state and borders Canada's British Columbia on the north and Idaho on the east. It includes all of Douglas County, Washington, Douglas, Ferry County, Washington, Ferry, Okanogan County, Washington, Okanogan, Pend Oreille County, Washington, Pend Orielle, and Stevens County, Washington, Stevens counties, along with portions of Grant County, Washington, Grant and Spokane County, Washington, Spokane counties. An earlier redistricting proposal from 2021 would have divided Okanogan County between the 7th and 13th districts.
