Joseph Clements (actor)
Joseph Clements is an Australian actor who has appeared on film, television, and theatre. He played Senior Sergeant Allan Steiger in the television soap opera '' Neighbours'' (2004–07), Simmo in the sitcom ''Newlyweds'' (1993–94), and Mike Kankel in the television film ''When Good Ghouls Go Bad'' (2001). He is also credited as Joe Clements. Career Clements graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1987. The following year, he was cast as Louis in the film ''The Boys in the Island'', which was never released. Clements had a main role as Simmo on ''Newlyweds'' during its run from 1993 to 1994, and was featured on ''Home and Away'' (1989), ''Rafferty's Rules'' (1990), '' Water Rats'' (1996), and ''Blue Heelers'' (2001) in guest roles. He portrayed Allan Steiger in a recurring role on '' Neighbours'' from 2004 to 2007. '' Neighbours'' is an Australian television soap opera. It was first broadcast on 18 March 1985. The following is a list of characters that appeared in the show in 2004, by order of first appearance. All characters were introduced by the shows executive producer Ric Pellizzeri. The 20th season of ''Neighbours'' began airing from 19 January 2004. Svetlanka Ristic the mother of Liljana Bishop made her debut in February, and her grandson, Luka Dokich arrived later on in September. ''Thank God You're Here'' is an Australian television improvised comedy program created by Working Dog Productions, which premiered on Network Ten on 5 April 2006, and aired for the first three seasons and on Seven for the fourth season. Each episode involves performers walking through a door into an unknown situation, greeted by the line "Thank God you're here!". They then had to improvise their way through the scene. At the end of each episode a winner was announced. It was the most successful new show in Australia of 2006, attracting an average of 1.7 million viewers after the first few episodes. The show is hosted by Shane Bourne, and is judged by Tom Gleisner. The format was sold for recreation in a number of countries. The series was created by Victoria Madden and Vincent Sheehan, and was written by Victoria Madden, Louise Fox, Cate Shortland and Andrew Knight. A sneak preview of the series launched at the 2015 ''Dark MoFo'' festival, with two episodes shown to select audiences at nine locations around Tasmania. The series was filmed in and around the town of Kettering and Bruny Island in Tasmania, as announced in February 2014 by the then Premier of Tasmania, Lara Giddings, during a press conference in Kettering. The series was set on the Homicide floor of a metropolitan police headquarters in Melbourne. The main characters were six detectives, who solve the murder cases, and their three superior officers. ''City Homicide'' did not return in its regular format in 2011. ''The Ponderosa'' is a television series developed by ''Bonanza'' creator David Dortort for PAX TV that ran for the 2001–2002 television season.
