Joseph Bernard (actor)
Joseph Bernard (born Fieldman; December 12, 1923 – April 3, 2006) was an American actor and acting teacher who appeared in 25 Broadway plays and several movies and TV appearances in the 1950s through 1970s. Bernard was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Ashkenazi Jewish immigrants Bernard Fieldman, a suitcase maker, and Lenya Kaplan, from Pinsk.1930 United States census, He studied at New York's New School for Social Research with acting teacher Stella Adler. One of his New School classmates was Marlon Brando. Bernard was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the D-Day invasion of France. After the war, he appeared in the play ''Winter Soldiers'' and then ''Skipper Next to God'', directed by Lee Strasberg and starring John Garfield, with whom he became friends. Garfield was Bernard's best man at his marriage to his wife, Bina, whom he wed in 1952. Bina died in 2001. Joseph Alphonse Bernard (March 27, 1881 – September 7, 1962), which later evolved into the anglicized Joseph Alphonsus, was the 16th and first Acadian Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island, serving between 1945 and 1950. Born on March 27, 1881, in Tignish, Prince Edward Island, Bernard was the son of Acadians Theodore Bernard and Anne Perry, who was the daughter of Stanislaus Francis Perry. He received his education in Tignish and in various locations on the island. On September 21, 1909, he married Zoë Chiasson of Tignish and they had seventeen children. He was a merchant and served as President of the Tignish Merchants Association. He was the Chairman of the Tignish Library and also Civilian Recruiting Director. Joe Bernard (born ) is an American college football coach. He is the special teams coordinator and safeties coach at the University at Albany, SUNY, a position he has held since 2023. Bernard served as the head football coach at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut from 2001 to 2002. Early life and education Bernard is from Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey. He earned a degree in accounting at Moravian College, where he graduated in 1985. He then earned his master's degree in mathematics from East Stroudsburg University in 1988. Coaching career Bernard served as Fairfield football program's second-ever (and final) head coach behind his mentor, Kevin Kiesel. Hans Zatzka (8 March 1859 – 17 December 1945 or 1949) was an Austrians, Austrian Academicism, Academic and fantasy painter. He has sometimes been known as P. Ronsard, Pierre de Ronsard, or H. The purpose of Zatzka's vast array of pseudonyms was to avoid penalties of breaking contracts which limited the amount of artwork he could sell.
