Joseph-François Poeymirau (8 November 1869 – 22 February 1924) was a French general. Childhood Poeymirau was born in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques on 8 November 1869 and was the son of André Adolphe Poeymirau, a businessman, and his wife Delphine Rocacher. Pau (; ; ) is a Communes of France, commune overlooking the Pyrenees, the prefecture of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Departments of France, department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regions of France, region of Southwestern France. The city is located in the heart of the former sovereign principality of Béarn, of which it was the capital from 1464.
