Josef Vorel
Josef Vorel (also Worel) (13 November 1801 – 19 December 1874) was a Czechs, Czech priest and composer. He is known mainly as a composer of songs and choirs in the Folk music, folk style. Vorel was born in Opočno, the son of a teacher. He began his musical training at an early age. He learned the piano, viola and Organ (music), organ at age five.#Černušák, Černušák (1965), p. 906 From 1813 he studied at gymnasium (school), gymnasium in Rychnov nad Kněžnou, where he founded and led a student Brass instrument, brass orchestra. During his theology, theological studies in Prague he met and befriended the writer and translator Karel Alois Vinařický, an important exponent of the Czech cultural scene during the period of the Czech National Revival. He occasionally attempted to compose cantatas to Vinařický's words. Following his ordination in 1825, he briefly served as a chaplain in Cerhovice and Žebrák. Cerhovice
Cerhovice is a market town in Beroun District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,200 inhabitants. Administrative division Cerhovice consists of two municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census): *Cerhovice (897) *Třenice (256) Geography Cerhovice is located about southwest of Beroun and southwest of Prague. It lies on the border between the Hořovice Uplands and Křivoklát Highlands. The highest point is the hill Třenická hora at above sea level. Václav Kliment Klicpera (23 November 1792 – 15 September 1859) was a Czechs, Czech playwright and poet. He was a prolific author of his own plays and was one of the first presenters of Czech-language drama. He was especially influential in the foundation of comedic Theatre of the Czech Republic, Czech theatre. Biography Václav Klement Klicpera was born on 23 November 1792 in Chlumec nad Cidlinou. Later he started writing Kliment as his middle name. He first began to learn to be a tailor, like his father, and then a butcher, but due to health reasons he ended his apprenticeship in 1808 and began studying at a Gymnasium (school), gymnasium in Prague. From 1813, he was part of an amateur troupe, where he met Anna Švamberková, which he married in 1819. After graduating from the gymnasium in 1813, he studied philosophy until 1816 and medicine until 1818. He then studied humanities and among his teachers were Josef Jungmann and Josef Dobrovský. Karel Jaromír Erben (; 7 November 1811 – 21 November 1870) was a Czech folklorist and poet of the mid-19th century, best known for his collection '' Kytice'', which contains poems based on traditional and folkloric themes. He also wrote ''Písně národní v Čechách'' ("Folk Songs of Bohemia") which contains 500 songs and ''Prostonárodní české písně a říkadla'' ("Czech Folk Songs and Nursery Rhymes"), a five-part book that brings together most of Czech folklore. Biography He was born on 7 November 1811 in Miletín near Jičín. He went to college in Hradec Králové. Then, in 1831, he went to Prague where he studied philosophy and later law. He started working in the National Museum with František Palacký in 1843. He became editor of a Prague's newspaper in 1848. Two years later, in 1850, he became archives' secretary of the National Museum. He died on 21 November 1870 of tuberculosis.
