Jose Maria Del Pino
Jose Maria Del Pino Carrasco is a Chilean journalist, academic and writer, graduated from Columbia University. He is currently the White House and Washington D.C. Correspondent for NTN24, and he also works for Canal 13 (Chile) as a Senior U.S. Correspondent. Biography He was born in Chillan, Chile, into a middle-class family. He is the oldest of the four children of Juan Francisco Del Pino and Veronica Carrasco, his parents. He attended primary and secondary school at the Padre Hurtado where he was president of the Students Board. He studied law at the Universidad Catolica but did not finish his studies. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Universidad de las Artes, las Ciencias y las Comunicaciones, where he majored in communications. Telemundo
Telemundo (; formerly NetSpan) is an American Spanish-language terrestrial television network owned by NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, a division of NBCUniversal, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast. It provides content nationally with programming syndicated worldwide to more than 100 countries in over 35 languages. The network was founded in 1984 as NetSpan before being renamed Telemundo in 1987 after the branding used on WKAQ-TV, its owned-and-operated station in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1997, Liberty Media and Sony Pictures Entertainment acquired controlling interest in Telemundo. NBC then purchased Telemundo in 2001. White House Correspondents' Association
The White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) is an organization of journalists who cover the White House and the president of the United States. The WHCA was founded on February 25, 1914, by journalists in response to an unfounded rumor that a United States congressional committee would select which journalists could attend press conferences of President Woodrow Wilson. The WHCA operates independently of the White House. Application for membership is madonlineand granted by the association on the basis of criteria. Historically, notable issues handled by the WHCA were the credentialing process, access to the president and physical conditions in the White House press briefing rooms. Its most high-profile activity is the annual White House Correspondents' dinner, which is traditionally attended by the president and covered by the news media.
