Jorge Zamacona
Jorge Zamacona (born December 30, 1959) is an American television writer and producer. He worked extensively on the police drama '' Homicide: Life on the Street'' and wrote the series' crossover episodes with the crime drama ''Law & Order''. Zamacona co-created the police dramas '' 10-8: Officers on Duty'' and '' Wanted''. Biography Zamacona was born on December 30, 1959, in Madigan Army Hospital in Fort Lewis, Washington. He grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. He studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison until he relocated to Los Angeles in 1980. In 1983, he graduated with a degree in television and film writing and production from California State University-Northridge. John Masius (born July 30, 1950) is an American screenwriter. He is accredited for creating the series ''Touched by an Angel'' (1994–2003), '' Providence'' (1999–2002) and '' Hawthorne'' (2009–2011). Early life He graduated from Scarsdale High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). David Mills (writer)
David Eugene Mills (November 20, 1961 – March 30, 2010) was an American journalist, of Pamunkey Indian descent television writer, writer and producer of television programs. He was an executive producer and writer of the HBO TV miniseries, miniseries ''The Corner'', for which he won two Emmy Awards, and the creator, executive producer, and writer of the NBC miniseries ''Kingpin (TV series), Kingpin''. Early life Mills was born in Washington, D.C. His family moved to Lanham, Maryland after their home was destroyed by a fire. In 1979, Mills graduated from DuVal Senior High School in Lanham. Noel Ira Behn (Chicago, January 6, 1928 – New York, July 27, 1998) was an American novelist, screenwriter and theatrical producer. His first novel, ''The Kremlin Letter'', drawn from his work in the US Army's Counterintelligence Corps, was published in 1966 and made into a film by John Huston in 1970. Behn's non-fiction ''Big Stick-Up at Brink's'' about a 1950 raid on a Boston armoured car facility, was published in 1977 and adapted into a 1978 movie, '' The Brink's Job'', starring Peter Falk and Peter Boyle. His controversial book ''Lindbergh: The Crime'' (1993) delved into the Lindbergh kidnapping, claiming that the baby had died in a family accident, and the kidnapping was faked. "And the Rockets' Dead Glare" is the seventh episode of the first season of the American police drama television series '' Homicide: Life on the Street''. It originally aired on NBC in the United States on March 17, 1993. In the episode, Howard testifies in a murder trial, Pembleton is offered a promotion, and Lewis and Crosetti go to the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C. to investigate a political refugee's murder. The teleplay was written by Jorge Zamacona based on a story by executive producer Tom Fontana, and the episode was directed by Peter Markle. It marked the first appearances of two recurring characters: defense attorney Darin Russom ( Michael Willis) and Detective Frank Pembleton's wife Mary, who was played by actor Andre Braugher's real-life wife Ami Brabson.
