Jorge Vidigal
Jorge Filipe Vidigal (born 29 January 1978) is an Angolan retired Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Full-back, right-back. Club career Born in Elvas, Portugal, Vidigal played most of his career in the country's lower leagues, representing hometown club O Elvas C.A.D., O Elvas CAD (two spells), G.D. Estoril Praia, S.C. Olhanense and C.F. União. He also spent two years at Sporting CP, but appeared almost exclusively for Sporting CP B, its reserves. Vidigal's only full Primeira Liga experience came with S.C. Beira-Mar, who signed the player from Olhanense – where he also appeared as a defensive midfielder – on a two-year contract. He only appeared in 11 matches in his 2006–07 Primeira Liga, debut season, and the Aveiro, Portugal, Aveiro team were relegated. Elvas (), officially the City of Elvas (), is a Portuguese municipality, former episcopal city and frontier fortress of easternmost central Portugal, located in the district of Portalegre in Alentejo. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the 1872 Scotland v England football match, first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. Rádio Renascença, also known as RR or just 'Renascença' (), is a private, commercial radio station in Portugal, owned by various organizations within the Portuguese Catholic Church: among others, the Patriarchate of Lisbon. André Filipe Cunha Vidigal (born 17 August 1998) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger or forward for side Stoke City. Born in Portugal, he plays for the Angola national team. Vidigal began his professional career with Académica before moving to Dutch club Fortuna Sittard in July 2017. After helping them gain promotion from the Eerste Divisie he moved on loan to Cypriot club APOEL and then returned to Portugal with Estoril in September 2020. António Leonel Vidigal (born 1 March 1975) is a Portuguese retired professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. Career Born in Elvas, Portalegre District, Vidigal made his senior debut at only 16, with O Elvas C.A.D. in the third division. In 1994 he signed for G.D. Estoril Praia in the Segunda Liga, going on to remain the following seven years at that level, also representing Vitória de Setúbal, F.C. Penafiel and Varzim SC, achieving Primeira Liga promotion with the latter in 2001.
