Jorge Torres (baseball)
Jorge Juan Torres Tur (June 18, 1918 — June 5, 1982), nicknamed Cocoliso, was a Cuban baseball player. He played on the Cuba national baseball team at the 1939 Amateur World Series, and later played in the professional Cuban League, Cuban Winter League as well as several seasons in the minor leagues. Cocoliso Torres played with the Cubaneleco (Cuban Electric Company) club of the Cuban Amateur League. He was selected to the Cuban squad that won gold at the Baseball at the 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games, 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games in Panama City, going 1–for–5. He also appeared with Cuba at the 1939 Amateur World Series, the country's first major international tournament and the first held on home soil. Jorge Torres (footballer)
Jorge Alejandro Torres Bohórquez (born 26 July 1999) is a Peruvian association football, footballer who plays as a left-back. Career Club career Torres spent his whole youth career at Deportivo Municipal. In October 2017, Torres made his debut for the clubs reserve team. In 2019, he was promoted to the first team squad and on 14 July 2019, 19-year old Torres got his official debut for Municipal in the Peruvian Primera División against FBC Melgar. Torres started on the bench, before replacing Aron Torres after 73 minutes. Torres made a total of five appearances in the 2019 season. On 1 February 2021, he joined Segunda División club Comerciantes Unidos on loan for the rest of 2021. He was left without contract at the end of 2021. References External links

Jorge Torres (born August 22, 1980 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American long-distance and cross-country runner. He is a three-time runner-up at the U.S. Cross-Country Championships (2005, 2006, and 2008), a 2002 NCAA Cross Country Champion, and a 2006 U.S. Outdoor Champion for the 10,000 meters. Running career Early career Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois by Mexican immigrants, Torres began running with his twin brother Eduardo at the age of eleven. He attended Wheeling High School in Wheeling, Illinois. He won the cross-country race at the 1998 Foot Locker National Championships in Orlando, Florida, and added three more titles in his category from numerous state high school tournaments. Jorge is one of only two boys ever to run in four Foot Locker Cross Country Championships. Jorge Emmanuel Torres Nilo (born 16 January 1988), also known as Pechu, is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a left-back. Jorge Torres Palacios was a Mexican journalist and government spokesman who was murdered in 2014. At the time of his death he was a columnist for the Acapulco newspaper ''El Dictamen'' and for other local news media, including the website ''Libertad Guerrero Noticias''.
