Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada
Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada is a Cuban Americans, Cuban-American Contemporary art, contemporary artist. He was born in Cuba on February 5, 1966, and emigrated with his family to the United States in 1970. He predominantly creates work in urban spaces on a large scale. He was a founding member of the early 1990s New York culture jamming movement, working first with the group Artfux and later with the Cicada Corps of Artists. During this period, he also launched interventions on billboards and public advertising. In 2002, Rodríguez-Gerada moved to Barcelona, where he worked on his ephemeral charcoal drawings, which comprise his ''Identity Series''. He then developed the ''Terrestrial Series''; it is a series of ephemeral earthworks. Since 2009, he has curated the annual AvantGuard Urbano Festival, an art festival held in Tudela, Navarre, in Northern Spain. He also takes part in numerous shows and exhibitions. Jorge Humberto Rodríguez-Novelo (born March 22, 1955) is a Mexican-born American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church, serving as an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Denver since 2016. Rodriguez-Novelo has held teaching positions at Catholic universities and institutions in the United States, Italy and Spain. Biography Early life Jorge Rodriguez-Novelo was born on March 22, 1955, in Mérida, Mexico. He is the son of Nery Maria Novelo and Ramon Rodriguez, and has one brother and four sisters. Dr. Jorge Rodriguez Beruff (born May 1, 1947) is a Puerto Rican historian who served as Dean of the College of General Studies of the Río Piedras campus of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). He previously chaired the Social Sciences Department in the same college. Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat (June 28, 1945 – August 19, 2017) was a Cuban-American politician and judge. He was a one-term member of the Florida House of Representatives representing a district in West Miami for the Republican Party from 1994 until his defeat in 1998. He served as a Judge of the Criminal and Family Divisions of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida from 2011 until his retirement in 2017.
