TC2000
The TC2000 (''Turismo Competición 2000'', formerly ''Súper TC2000'') is a touring car racing series held in Argentina since 1979. Rules Prior to 2012, engines of up to were allowed, with only limited modifications from standard engines. This was both to reduce running costs, and give a level playing field to every team. Variable valve timing, variable intake geometry, anti-lock braking systems and traction control are all forbidden. From the 2012 season, Radical Performance Engines will provide RPE TCX V8 engines (a front-wheel-drive variant of the RPX, originally found in the Radical SR8), capable of producing , in place of the previous engines. Tigre Partido is a '' partido'' of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, situated in the northern part of Greater Buenos Aires. The department covers a large section of the Paraná Delta and its low-lying islands. The main town of the division is Tigre; other towns include Don Torcuato, El Talar, General Pacheco, Benavídez. The partido is bound to the north by the Paraná de las Palmas River, to the northeast by the Río de la Plata, to the southeast by San Fernando Partido, to the south by San Martín Partido, to the southwest by Malvinas Argentinas Partido and to the west by Escobar Partido. Osvaldo "Cocho" López (born December 3, 1947 in Buenos Aires), is a retired Argentine racing driver. He began his career in 1967 and retired in the early 2000s. He won the TC2000 championship in 1979 and he was runner-up in the South American Super Touring Car Championship in 1997 and 2000. He won other titles at Club Argentino de Pilotos and Formula 2 Argentina. He was in the 1993 24 Hours of Daytona with Team Argentina, sharing his car with Oscar Aventín, Osvaldo Morresi and Juan Manuel Landa. His son Juan Manuel López is also a racing driver.
