Jorge Nuño Lara
Jorge Nuño Lara (born 4 December 1974) is a Mexican economist and civil servant. He is the current Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation since November 15, 2022 during the presidency of Andrés Manuel López Obrador. He entered public service in 2000 where he held minor positions in the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. He served as Undersecretary of Infrastructure from 2021 to 2022, until he took over as Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation to succeed Jorge Arganis Díaz Leal, who resigned due to poor health. Secretariat Of Infrastructure, Communications And Transportation (Mexico)
The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (''Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes'', SICT) of Mexico is the national federal entity that regulates commercial road traffic and broadcasting. Its headquarters are in the Torre Libertad on Reforma in Mexico City but some aspects of the department still function at the old headquarters located at the intersection of Eje Central and Eje 4 Sur (Xola). The building is decorated with murals created by arranging small colored stones on the building's outer walls. Historical nomenclature The forerunner of the modern-day SCT was created in 1891 under President Porfirio Díaz and was known as the Secretariat of Communications ''(Secretaría de Comunicaciones)''; its first incumbent as secretary was Manuel González Cosío. Toluca–Mexico City Commuter Rail
''El Insurgente'' () is a commuter rail line between the State of Mexico and Mexico City that is partially operational. Also known as Interurban Train Mexico City–Toluca, the passenger railway line will connect the cities of Toluca and Mexico City. The Tren Interurbano project was announced by President Enrique Peña Nieto on 1 December 2012, and construction began in 2014. On 1 September 2023, it was announced that the line would be branded as ''El Insurgente'', after Miguel Hidalgo. On 15 September 2023, the first section from Zinacantepec to Lerma opened, with four trains initially running on the section. On 31 August 2024, the second section from Lerma to Santa Fe inaugurated. The opening of the entire line is expected in 2025. Tren Suburbano
The Tren Suburbano () is an electric suburban rail system in Mexico City. Line 1 is operated by Ferrocarriles Suburbanos with Concession (contract), concessioned trains from Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF). It was designed to complement the extensive Mexico City metro system, Latin America's largest and busiest urban rail network. The railway has one operative line with a length of with seven stations, located in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, Cuauhtémoc and Azcapotzalco in Mexico City, and Tlalnepantla de Baz, Tlalnepantla, Tultitlán de Mariano Escobedo, Tultitlán and Cuautitlán, in the State of Mexico.
